Here is an other scam that is going on.  This one came from the Public Defenders Office.  I am afraid that with the state of the economy we will be having to deal with scams and scammers all year long.  Please be extra careful.

                                     TRD SCAM ALERT:

                             Fraudulent calls made to TRD customers

 

   Individuals claiming to be TRD representatives are calling New Mexicans and asking

   individuals to submit paperwork in order to make a claim on unclaimed property. So

   far TRD has only received a few calls but wanted to alert the public to this fraudulent

   activity.

 

   "TRD wants its customers to know we rarely contact anyone by telephone in unclaimed

   property and we do not even keep phone numbers on file," stated TRD Secretary

   Rick Homans.  "Please do not give out any personal information and report any calls to

   TRD and to the State Attorney General's Office."
