BRIEF MINUTES OF THE 6/19/09 D4 COALITION
                                                         OF NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATIONS

I arrived at the meeting at 8 PM to avoid hearing the I-25 Sector Plan Presentation( to avoid any possible EPC conflict should the case revert back to EPC)

President Amy reported that a facilitated meeting was held re the proposed development large between I-25 and San Mateo, North of Alameda. Bambi Folk has a e-mail copy she can forward to those who are interested. She also noted that the legislative assistants for legislators Heimrick and Udall will attend D4 Coalition meetings to provide feedback to the legislators and answer questions from D4 members. As requested at last month's meeting, copies of the Alb. Meadows impressive multi-page monthly Newsletter were provide to the membership.

Councilman Brad Winter reported that the Independent Commission working to amend the Charter has completed work and the City Council is now reviewing the document. He noted that the document proposes a number of substantial changes. After City Council review, the proposed amended Charter will be submitted for public vote. The next City Council Meeting will be in August.

Under Old Business, the Coalition voted that each NA should independently contact www.mamabearsplace.com<http://www.mamabearsplace.com/>
if they are interested in the non-profit program. When you buy 2 bears, one is sent to a designated children's hospital.

Selected items fro the Neighborhood Roundtable: 1-888-382-1222 is the phone number to use when making a "DO NOT CALL" request for your cell phone. There was some discussion regarding whether one needed to use the cell phone to make the call, but the question was unresolved. Heritage East noted that their paid membership is up to 49%, the paid Security Patrol is working, and costs each member $25/month (this amount may be in error). Quintessence now has 170 members. Del Rey Board was re- elected with urging from the developer as the continuity of current board experience is essential regarding the negotiations which have taken place over the past few years. Del Rey also noted that several street lights were missing and that the owner is responding to correct the problem

Adjourned at 9;15 PM

Respectfully submitted
Joe Yardumian, NENA Rep to D4
